On May 28, 2025, Taurus organized an office opening ceremony for its Türkiye Istanbul office, publicly announced on 12.12.2024. The who’s who of Türkiye’s financial center and digital assets, including banking professionals, professional service firms, senior government officials, and digital asset exchange representatives, gathered at Feriye’s iconic place by the shore of the Bosphorus.
Dr. Taner Dursun, Senior Chief Researcher and Manager of the Blockchain Lab of Türkiye’s government agency TÜBİTAK, gave a keynote speech and a detailed overview of TÜBİTAK infrastructure requirements for digital asset custody.
Dr. Önder Halisdemir, CEO of Misyon Bank and Chairman of Türkiye Finance Executives Foundation, gave a keynote speech highlighting the central role that Türkiye can play in financial innovation and digital assets.
Mr. Lamine Brahimi, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Taurus, and Mr. Bashir Kazour, Managing Director for the region, shed light on Taurus’ history and reiterated the long-term commitment of Taurus to Türkiye.
