Trading and settlement
Collateral management (digital assets)
Digital asset collateral management is the pledging of digital assets as collateral under automated, rule-based engines, so institutions can trade, borrow, and settle without transferring the underlying assets out of custody. Positions are opened, margined, and closed while collateral stays under the owner's key sovereignty.
Rule-based collateral engines in practice
Eligibility, haircuts, concentration limits, and margin calls are encoded as rules and enforced automatically; substitutions and releases follow quorum-approved workflows; and every state change is auditable. Because the pledge is enforced in custody, disputes reduce to verifiable records.
Taurus-NETWORK runs rule-based collateral engines between member institutions, with assets pledged in Taurus-PROTECT and settlement on-chain or in fiat.
